Finally some news has come as to when we’ll be able to see Adam Green’s survival horror flick Frozen (review here) on DVD and Blu-ray.

According to Hi-Def Digest the film starring Shawn Ashmore, Kevin Zegers, Emma Bell, and Ed Ackerman will be hitting home on September 28th.

Well, I suppose that’s better than nothing. it’s two months away, but at least we’re finally getting it!

Some interesting tidbits about Vampire from MTV, regardless MTV might think it’s creepy but I find it oddly refreshing in the industry today – it’s something a little different, but Kevin always does take the strange roles.

Vampires. They are all the rage. But, “Bonnie and Clyde” star Kevin Zegers is not jumping on the bandwagon, despite the fact that his new flick, which he just wrapped, is tentatively called “Vampire.” And, he told MTV News that given the fact that he doesn’t actually play a vampire in the uber-dark flick, there may have to be some title changes.

“I just finished shooting that [last week] in Vancouver with Keisha Castle-Hughes and Rachael Leigh Cook. It was great,” he said. “It’s sort of like ‘American Psycho.’ It’s actually not like a vampire movie, which I think they’re actually going to change the title.”

Well, it may not be about a cold one, per se, but we do have to say that Kevin’s character sounds vaguely vampire-like, even if the name of the flick ends up getting altered. “It’s about a school teacher who sort of seduces young women on the internet and helps them commit suicide,” he explained, leaving us creeped out. He added, “[He] sort of takes all of the blood out of them and drinks it. I am that teacher.”

The actor said that it’s pretty normal for him to be cast him in really dark movies. “That tends to be the things people like me to do,” he explained. “I end up in the strange movies, which by the way is kind of great.”

Finally!

One-time Hump Day Hottie, Kevin Zegers, is not only steaming up Miley Cyrus’ latest music video for her song “Big Big Bang,” but he’s also bracing to become the latest hottie to play the role of the elusive criminal, Clyde Barrow in “The Story of Bonnie and Clyde.” Kevin, who will star in the flick alongside Hilary Duff, told MTV News that the film is all lined up on his filming docket later this year.

“I’m gonna do two films right before that, and then I think that gonna go at the end of fall,” he said. “And we’ll see how all the pieces come together in terms of cast and everything with schedules and all that stuff. As of right now I’m definitely going to do that in November.”

Kevin said that the film will not only focus on the romance of the two young criminals in love (Hilary will play Bonnie), but also a lot of the action. “It’s much more of a sort of young action love story than the [1967] original [featuring Faye Dunaway and Warren Beaty] was,” he explained. “It definitely is a younger version of that. The action is going to be a lot more hardcore than the first one was.”

So, what attracted the actor, most recently known for his small role on “Gossip Girl,” to the flick? “I don’t know. I like to do stuff that seems like biting off more than you can chew,” he said. “It seemed like a huge endeavor to make this work in a way that in a way that audience doesn’t go, ‘Oh I liked the original one better.’”

This week, stills from Miley Cyrus’ latest video — for her song “Big Big Bang” made their way online. In the photos, she’s seen cavorting around downtown Los Angeles with actor Kevin Zegers. But Zegers says that having to kiss Cyrus for the video wasn’t as fun as it sounds.

“Liam [Hemsworth] was there, and he seems like a very, very nice man, and my girlfriend, who actually works with Miley, was also there, so it was actually a lot stranger than it normally would be sort of making out with somebody on set,” Zegers told MTV News. “Normally they don’t really know the people in your life, but Miley knows my girlfriend quite well actually, and I got to meet Liam. These things are very weird.”

Zegers says that the video, most of which is a dream that his character has, is going to have some action scenes. “[My character is] a parking attendant and he sees Miley’s character drive by and he sort of goes into a dream sequence, which is a majority of the video,” he revealed.

“And then something dramatic happens at the end. It’s not all the making out, but there’s a car accident at the end. So there were a lot of stunts.”

For the clip, Zegers rocks a neck tattoo that he jokes was probably an effort to make him appear “more badass.” But if fans are expecting the video to show a bawdy side of Cyrus, he says that isn’t the case at all. “She’s … just a beautiful young woman sort of roaming around.

“It’s definitely not raunchy in any way,” he explained, adding that the real-life Cyrus is just as clean-cut. “She’s very polite and well-raised, which is a rarity for someone in her position. I think she’s a total sweetheart.”

Well, we just have to say this, Miley was a lucky girl for getting to kiss Kevin, I’m jealous!

Kevin Zegers (“Transamerica”) has signed to star in a pair of indie projects — college drama “A Great Education” and thriller “Entitled.”

Thesp will portray an ambitious but poor young man from Indiana who’s on scholarship at Harvard, where he begins dating a society girl, portrayed by Emma Roberts.

William Mosely and Ben Kingsley also star, with Christopher Keyser directing. Kirk D’Amico and Laurence Mark are set to produce, with Myriad Pictures financing.

For “Entitled,” Zegers will topline with Ray Liotta as the ringleader of a ransom plot with several other college students. Aaron Woodley is directing from a script by William Morrissey, with Dave Valleau and Foundation Features (“Capote”) producing.

Zegers is working on “Vampire,” written and directed by Shunji Iwai and produced by Tim Kwok.

Spent the night finishing up coding this layout. Many thanks to Toni for making it for us! Glad to bring the summer into something fresh, clean and blue!

Scans and photoshoots have been added to the gallery. Many thanks to my friend Chels who helped fill in the gaps! We’ve also added a ton of pictures to Session 002. Over the next week I will be adding Normal and the Narrows captures to the gallery.

Kevin attended the Nigtmare premiere, sadly I only have two pics right now but hopefully more will emerge!

“They don’t just leave people on chairs,” rationalizes Kevin Zegers’ character Dan Walker in the thriller Frozen.

The film opens with three friends at a ski hill trying to figure out a way to get on the hill without purchasing lift tickets. The characters are Joe (Shawn Ashmore, who also plays Iceman in X-Men; whose powers do not make an appearance in this film), his best friend Dan (Zegers) and Dan’s girlfriend Parker (Emma Bell). They succeed by paying off the guy operating the lift and spend the day having a good time in the snow. Upbeat music plays over a montage of snow frolicking. As the day starts to come to a close, however, Joe starts itching for “one last run.”

Well, apparently for the time being we’ve seen the last of Kevin on Gossip Girl, but fear not, we have Frozen to look forward to. I’ve added the screencaps from Monday’s episode The 16 Yr Old Virgin.
